Tamarindo is quintessential Costa Rica. Think warm Pacific breezes…brightly-colored birds flitting through lush jungle…swaying palms…laid-back surf culture…an upmarket, yet bohemian town…and a long, glorious, soft-sand beach that’s the beating heart of the community.

Travelers pay $400+ per night for top-quality two-bed ocean-view condos in peak season. And the demand doesn’t stop outside of the peak months. The shoulder seasons—once quiet—are now filled with remote workers, digital nomads, and long-stay vacationers.

This rental demand is really important, even if you’re buying primarily for personal use.

Having a strong rental market like this gives you options. If your personal situation changes and you can’t use your real estate for a period—or you decide later that you want to mix personal use with income—owning in Tamarindo means you can generate incredibly strong rental returns from your real estate whenever you’re not using it.
