Where the Dordogne river winds through southwest France, the small village of Pinsac gathers around a 12th-century Romanesque church, its stone houses settled close to the water’s edge. This is the Lot, a region of medieval villages and river valleys that has drawn visitors for centuries.
This six-bedroom stone house sits in the heart of the village, less than a mile from the Dordogne’s riverside beaches. On the ground floor, a cathedral-ceilinged living room opens to a dining room and the garden, with a gallery above leading to two bedrooms.
Upstairs, four further bedrooms and a study occupy the first floor, while a library and an office sit under the eaves. A garage, and a small courtyard with a summer kitchen complete the home.
Souillac, with shops, schools, and a health center, is five minutes away. Sarlat and the Dordogne’s valley of castles are around 45 minutes. Brive–Souillac International Airport is around 20 minutes by road.
