The Italian island of Sicily is a place of astonishing real estate bargains.
In medieval towns here, you can find charming, historic homes in various states of repair from as little as $16,000…sometimes even less.
Homes are available at these low prices because Sicily’s historic hill towns have long suffered from depopulation. But dig deep, and you’ll find that certain towns are experiencing revitalization.
My team and I have been on a mission to find them, because when you buy in the right town, you can own for less than replacement cost in a beautiful place with a bright future.
I’ve just released my video deep dive on one of these towns in the new episode of The Ronan McMahon Report.
Click below to watch it now. And when you’re done, share your thoughts or questions in the comments. My team and I read them all.
In this new destination deep-dive on my YouTube channel, I take you to a hill town in Sicily that is showing signs of revitalization, but where prices are still low. Click to view…
The town is Gratteri—a small village in northern Sicily.
It’s set high in Madonie Regional Natural Park, overlooking the Mediterranean.
From the village, you look out over rolling green hills and olive groves…and beyond them, the sea stretches to the horizon.
This is a classic Sicilian hill town. Stone houses…narrow lanes…church bells marking the hours…
But what makes Gratteri interesting is that it’s now being discovered.
When my scout had boots on the ground here, he spoke to a local agent who’d already sold around 50 homes in Gratteri to foreign buyers. That’s a significant number for a village of this size.
In rural Europe, the difference between a town that declines…and one that revives…comes down to whether new buyers are arriving.
And here, they are.
Watch my new video to learn:
- Why most buyers in Gratteri tend to use their properties at select times of the year…
- How you can enjoy everything the stunning Sicilian seaside town of Cefalù has to offer—but buy at a completely different price point…
- Why this is not a rental play—and who it is perfect for…
It’s all in my new video.
Watch my full deep-dive on Gratteri now.
