VIDEO: The Caribbean Beach Town With a European Soul

The Caribbean has no shortage of spectacular beach towns.

But few are as beautiful and culturally unique as this.

French and Italian expats arrived here decades ago. They opened bakeries, restaurants, guesthouses and small businesses. Over time, they helped create a low-rise beach town with a distinctly European soul.

Now, more international visitors are discovering it. Marriott recently opened a hotel here. And the supply of quality real estate close to the beach is becoming increasingly limited.

Yet you can still own here from under $200,000.

I’ve just released my video deep-dive on this destination in the new episode of The Ronan McMahon Report.

Click below to watch it now. And when you’re done, share your thoughts or questions in the comments. My team and I read them all.

In this new destination deep-dive on my YouTube channel, I take you to walkable Caribbean beach town with a European soul. Click to view…

The place is Las Terrenas, on the Samaná Peninsula in the northeastern Dominican Republic.

That technically makes this an Atlantic beach, but the vibe is pure Caribbean—turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, swaying palms…

For decades, its remote location kept large resorts and high-rise development away.

A new highway and nearby international airport have since made it much easier to reach. More Americans, Canadians and buyers from Santo Domingo are discovering the town, while Marriott opened the Donoma Las Terrenas Autograph Collection hotel here in November 2025.

But Las Terrenas remains low-rise, and the supply of quality real estate close to the beach is limited.

Today, one-bedroom condos within walking distance of the sand start from around $195,000, while villas close to the beach can start in the mid-$400,000s.

Watch my new video to learn:

  • Why Las Terrenas developed so differently from other Caribbean destinations…
  • What you can buy here today, from compact beach-area condos to oceanfront estates…
  • How even a global brand like Marriott had to adapt itself to the culture of the town…

It’s all in my new video.

Watch my full deep-dive on now.

Wishing you good real estate investing,
