VIDEO: The Destinations to Know About in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula

Recently, virtually my entire Real Estate Trend Alert (RETA) scouting team fanned out across Mexico’s Riviera Maya, digging into the ongoing transformation of this stunning coastline and the incredible opportunities there.

Among them was my newest team member: Geneviève Vienneau.

Gen is an investor, lawyer, and innovator who’s combining family, travel, entrepreneurship and real estate to create the ultimate global lifestyle. She will also be the first and primary guide of the upcoming RETA Academy, a new platform designed to guide RETA members every step of the way as they turn their overseas real estate dreams into a reality. (I’ll have more on this in the weeks ahead.)

From mid-to-late February, Gen scouted destinations right across the Yucatan Peninsula looking for a new property for her family…one that would be part-lifestyle, part-investment. She visited destinations ranging from the colonial city of Merida to the beach town of Progreso to the cosmopolitan coastal city of Playa del Carmen.

Yesterday, she recorded a video with RETA scout Ciaran Madden to share with you what she found—the insights, the transformations, and the opportunities. Click below to view…

Two members of my Real Estate Trend Alert scouting team, Geneviève Vienneau and Ciaran Madden, discuss their key insights and takeaways from their recent scouting trips to Mexico’s Riviera Maya. Click to view…

In their call, Gen and Ciaran discussed a number of opportunities spanning destinations right across the Yucatan Peninsula, including…

  • Refurbished colonial homes in Merida for price tags in the region $350,000. (Check out this walkthrough Gen did of a colonial home in Merida.)
  • The best places to own in the beach community of Progreso on the northern coast of the Yucatan…
  • What it’s like to ride the Mayan Train, the Yucatan’s brand-new rail network that already connects Merida, Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum and is set to span around 1,000 miles at completion.
  • An older master-planned community on the Riviera Maya between Playa del Carmen and Tulum called Puerto Aventuras where folks are paying north of $500,000 for ocean-view condos and well over $1 million for villas.

And then there’s their major takeaway…

How a mind-blowing path of progress is moving along the Riviera Maya, turning places like the cosmopolitan city of Playa del Carmen into full-fledged high-end destinations rich with incredible opportunities for anyone who wants to live or own overseas.

Watch their call here for full details on all this and much more…

Playa del Carmen, the city at the heart of the Riviera Maya, is undergoing a mind-blowing transformation, as Gen and Ciaran discuss in this video.

Wishing you good real estate investing,

P.S. This Saturday (March 8) at 1 p.m. ET, I’ll be sending you something very special…

The full briefing on the brand-new off-market deal I’m about to bring to my RETA group in Playa. Some details…

  • It’s an exclusive deal to own stunning condos in a community called The Landmark right in the heart of Playa del Carmen, a short walk to the beach, the dining, the shows, gyms, stores…
  • This community will be next-level, with a half-acre rooftop amenity area called The Sky Club. This will be unique in Playa del Carmen. A half-acre of lushly landscaped luxury, with a sauna, infinity pool, gym, restaurant and Caribbean views. Resort-level amenities like this in Playa are a major premium, but nowhere has a rooftop amenities area as expansive and devoted to quiet luxury as Landmark.
  • I expect gains of $201,600 five years after delivery and red-hot rental income—I’d say an annual gross yield of 13%. That’s $41,500 per year.
  • Prices to own in similar high-end communities in downtown Playa run in the mid-$400,000s…$500,000s…and even more. For instance, some people will pay $485,000 for a 731-square-foot two-bed condo three blocks from Playa del Carmen’s famed Fifth Avenue and farther again from the ocean.
  • Yet the exclusive, RETA-only price is from just $318,400 for a luxury two-bed condo in The Landmark, in the heart of everything with that huge rooftop of resort-level luxury.

This is a mind-blowing deal. And it’s off-market. Exclusive to RETA members.

Full details on this opportunity will drop in your inbox at 1 p.m. this Saturday, March 8. Stay tuned…

The Landmark is going to have the standout rooftop in Playa—full resort level luxury. A whopping half-acre of gardens, spa amenities, yoga area, infinity edge pool with Caribbean views, co-working, wellness…restaurant, bar… (Renders shouldn’t be considered final.) More details on this brand-new, exclusive RETA-only deal coming Saturday…
