The place is Estepona.
It’s known as the Garden of the Costa del Sol. Flowers spill from balconies, climb whitewashed walls, and fill the plazas with color.
But charm alone does not make a real estate opportunity. For that, you need demand. Access. Money moving in.
The area from Marbella to Puerto Banús is known as the Golden Mile.
It’s already one of Europe’s most prestigious addresses. Prime land is scarce, and homes sell for millions—even tens of millions.
So buyers and developers are looking farther west.
Over the past decade, huge investment has flowed into Estepona and the surrounding coast—golf communities, five-star resorts, beach clubs, and high-end residential developments.
This is what I call a “Path of Progress”—new infrastructure, resorts, and amenities that make a place easier to reach or more desirable.
I’ve been recommending real estate on this stretch of coast to RETA members for more than a decade. We’ve seen what can happen when you buy the right property ahead of the Path of Progress.
