I’ve owned real estate in Portugal and spent time there for years. I watched as places people used to just visit became places they wanted to live—and property prices soared.
Beach towns became year-round destinations. New residents arrived from around the world.
Now, I’m watching a similar story unfold in a place I think of as “the Portugal of South America”—Uruguay.
On a stretch of coast where South America’s wealthiest families have long spent their summers, something is changing.
Visitors are becoming full-time residents. And the money is coming from more directions.
I’ve just released a deep-dive on what makes Uruguay so compelling in the new episode of The Ronan McMahon Report.

Could Uruguay be the next Portugal? In my new video, I explain why I’m watching this coast so closely—and show you three ways to own here today. Click to view…
Along with my team, I’ve been scouting Uruguay for 20 years. This small country, wedged between Argentina and Brazil, has long stood out for its stability and its welcome to foreign buyers.
Now, I’m heading back—and I’m looking for a deal to bring to my Real Estate Trend Alert (RETA) group.
My focus is the Punta del Este Corridor: the resort city of Punta del Este and the beach towns stretching east along the Atlantic.
I think this coast could be reaching an inflection point. In my new video, I explain why.
Watch my new video to learn:
- The three ways to play the opportunity here….
- Why buyers from Brazil, Paraguay, North America, and Europe are taking a closer look…
- What it costs to own here today…
It’s all in my new video.
Wishing you a good real estate investing,
