Picture this…
It’s late morning. Your private fishing charter is bobbing gently on the calm navy blue waters of the Caribbean…
The weather is glorious, growing warmer as afternoon approaches. All around, the sunlight dances and flickers off the waves. The azure sky above is clear, save for a single whisper of white cloud.
On the other side of the sleek yacht, your newfound friends—neighbors in your luxury community back onshore—are battling with an enormous blue marlin, the largest species of billfish. Their catch is fighting hard, soaring out of the water, making towering leaps above the waves.
Amid screams of delight and excitement, they manage to wrestle it up to the side of the boat with help from the yacht crew. It’s big…a 400-plus pounder. Smiles beaming, they pose for photos with the fish before releasing it safely back into the Caribbean.
It’s early September, just past peak blue marlin season. The waters are still teeming with these incredible creatures, though, and the expert charter crew know just where to find them. The waters here are home to some of the best fishing grounds and diving spots in the world.
You’ve already caught and released three billfish today. Now you’re happy just to watch your neighbors, Tom and Alice, wide-eyed in delight after their first big catch. They’ve just recently moved here…they’re work-from-anywhere folks from the U.K. (A lot of people like this have been moving here lately.) You’ve become fast friends, and when you heard they’d never been sports fishing, you invited them out.
After all, when one of the most prestigious marinas in the Caribbean is just minutes from your home, why not take full advantage of it…
As midday approaches, your yacht makes its way back toward Cap Cana marina.
The boat enters the inland harbor through its access canal and sweeps around a bend toward its sheltered berth, passing as it does a 180-foot superyacht. The yacht is often moored here, unless it’s been rented out (that costs $205,000 per week, highlighting the kind of folks who frequent the marina).
After you dock, your neighbors insist on buying lunch as a thank-you for the morning’s adventure. You wander through the Avele art gallery, past the marina’s luxury residences and stores, before making your way around the harbor to Bohemian restaurant. As you savor an exquisite meal of seared red snapper and braised short ribs, the conversation turns to how you’ll spend the rest of the day…
You could stay around the marina…the diving excursions are every bit as incredible as the fishing charters…
Perhaps a trip to El Dorado water park (the largest in the Caribbean)…
Or maybe some practice on the driving range at the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, Punta Espada (ranked among the very best in the world)…
Or you’ve heard there’s a polo match on at the equestrian center. The matches always generate great excitement.
It’s all available to you inside your stunning master-planned community of Cap Cana.
Ultimately, though, you decide to head back to relax on Juanillo beach, a stroll from your luxury condo community. Tom and Alice have only been here a few weeks and they’re still transfixed by the sugar-white sands and glistening azure waters. In truth, so are you.
There’s so much to do here beyond the beaches. But a coastline this postcard-perfect never gets old…
That’s a snapshot of the lifestyle you (and your renters) could enjoy as owners in Cap Cana.
In recent days, I’ve been telling you about this ultra-luxurious master-planned community on the easternmost coast of the Dominican Republic.
I’ve explained how it’s enormous (twice the size of Manhattan) and set on three miles of glistening white-sand beach, and miles more of stunning Caribbean coastline.
How it’s home to that incredible marina…world-class golf…mansions that sell for tens of millions of dollars…5-star resorts…one of the Caribbean’s finest equestrian facilities…a vast water park…dozens of restaurants…a school…a university…conference centers…an adventure park with cave exploration, ziplining, off-roading in buggies, and diving in the “blue hole”…
And I’ve discussed how it’s just 10 minutes’ drive from a major international airport, making it insanely accessible, with direct flights from all across the U.S., Canada and main hubs in Europe.
I’ve also shared that I’m on the verge of buying a home here in an exclusive, off-market deal alongside members of my Real Estate Trend Alert group…
Our RETA-only price is crazy-low. And I can’t pass up on the gains and the rental income our condos will generate…
I expect gains of $275,000 five years after delivery. Plus, I figure on gross yields of nearly 12% renting short term and more than 9% renting long term (that’s $3,000 a month).
Just as importantly, though, I simply can’t wait to be an owner in Cap Cana for the rich lifestyle on offer…
At the moment, I plan to rent monthly for maybe nine months of the year. That way, I have the use of the condo for myself, friends and family for a few months every year.
This means I’ll be able to experience this ultra-luxurious slice of the Caribbean whenever I like. And it’s not just Cap Cana that will open up for me…
From Cap Cana, you can access the entire variety of the Dominican Republic on generally excellent, modern highways.
Just two-and-a-half hours away is the capital, Santo Domingo. This is the oldest European city in the Americas and served as a model for many across the Spanish American empire. It’s where you’ll find the first university, the first cathedral and the first castle in the Americas.
Today, its colonial quarter, with street after street of stunning historic buildings, is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
A little-known fact: the Dominican Republic is also one of the most geographically diverse countries in the Caribbean.
It’s home to Pico Duarte, the Caribbean’s tallest mountain peak, and Lake Enriquillo, its largest lake.
A quarter of the land is national park and protected areas where you can hike, mountain bike, explore caves and swim in freshwater lagoons…
This opens up so many possibilities…
You can boat to uninhabited islands…indulge in French-Caribbean cuisine…tour cigar factories…do rum or wine tastings…try white-water rafting…go whale watching (this is one of the best countries in the world for whale watching; 85% of North Atlantic humpback whales are born in the Dominican Republic’s waters)…
And if golf is your thing, as it’s mine, well, then this country is something truly special.
You’ll find over 30 golf courses, many designed by legendary architects like Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus. (There is a second Jack Nicklaus course due to open in Cap Cana and the existing one regularly tops lists of the best in the Caribbean and Mexico.)
This is why I’m buying a home by the beach in Cap Cana…
I expect it to be a crazy good investment, especially considering the incredible tear that the Dominican Republic economy has been on…and the amazing future plans for Cap Cana. (Read more about those here.)
I expect amazing yields of 9% to almost 12% depending on how I choose to rent.
And those beaches are mind-blowingly beautiful…a rival for any in the world.
But there’s also much more to Cap Cana than just beaches. This is a self-sufficient and secure bastion of wealth and luxury that has amazing and diverse entertainment options. And when you live here, you have an entire Caribbean island paradise on your doorstep.
Put it all together and this makes Cap Cana one of the best places on earth to own an overseas dream home.
I’ll send you my full report about this opportunity this Saturday, September 14 at 1 p.m. ET, including details on how you can buy alongside me and RETA members.
